Rams v's Crieff & Strathearn
The Blairgowrie Rams P4/5 and P6/7 played Crieff on Sunday the 18th of January 2009. The weather was good, the boys enjoyed there games and played very good rugby.
The P4/5 team was Scott Fairnington, Robbie Smith, Myles Reid, Robert Davie, Murray and Comeron Smith, Harry Foggo Smith, Robert Alexander and James McCaig.
In there first game the boys started with good tackling from Scott Fairnington, Robbie Smith Cameron Smith, Robert Davie and Robert Alexander. There was good running with ball from James McCaig, Myles Reid, Harray Foggo Smith and Murray Smith. The Boys tried very hard but found it very hard to get through the Crieff players, as the Rams managed to score a try, with good running with ball and supporting the ball carrier James McCaig got through to score a try. The Crieff team came out winners 4 tries to 1. For his tackling, runs with ball and support play man of the match was James McCaig.
There second match started with good play from Myles Reid, Murray and Cameron Smith, James McCaig, again good tackling from Scott Fairnington Robert Alexander,Harry Foggo Smith, Robert Davie and Robbie Smith. With very good runs, tackling and encouragement from the supporters the boys played very good rugby. tries came from Myles Reid and James McCaig, Creiff came out winners 4 tries to 2. For the way they played the game giving there best the man of the match are Murray and Cameron Smith.
The P6/7 team was Finn Allan, Fraserb Black, Murray Scott, Scot and Paul Stirling, Arran Todd, Lowis Reid, Finlay Robertson, William Campbell, Michael Davie, Oliver Moore, Craig Rimmer, Calum Thom, Callum Blanche and John McLaren.
The first game started fast with good tackling from Fraser Black, Finn Allan, Arran Todd, Lowis Reid, Finlay Robertson, William Campdell,Oliver Moore and Calum Thom. There was good support play and running with ball from Murray Scott, Scot and Paul Stirling, Michael Davie, Craig Rimmer Callum Blanche and John McLaren. The Blairgowrie Rams had control of the scrum and the line-outs. this showed as the Rams scored three tries. With good ball handling from the team the try scorers were Fraser Black, Murry Scott and John McLaren and the Rams came out winners 3 tries to 0. For his hard running and tackling Fraser Black got man of the match.
In there second game the Rams started the same way they played there first game. The Crieff was playing better rugby in this game, but the Rams again dominated the scrums and line-outs and put in try scoring tackles from Fraser Black, Arran Todd, Finn Allan, Lowis Reid, William Campbell, Michael Davie, Oliver Moore,Craig Rimmer and Callum Blanche. The boys found this game harder but with good support play from Murray Scott, Scot and paul Stirling, FInlay Robertson, Calum Thom and John McLaren helprd the Rams come through as winners tries from Fraser Black, Arran Todd, Craig Rimmer and John McLaren. The Final score was 4 tries to, Lowis Reid for his good support play and his awareness of the game gets man of the match.
